What is Philanthropy?
Derived from Ancient Greek, meaning "to love people". Philanthropy is the act of donating money, goods, services, time and/or effort to support a socially beneficial cause, with a defined objective and with no financial or material reward to the donor.

What does the Zeta Psi chapter do?
The Zeta Psi chapter has held an annual event titled Miss TCNJ. The concept: a male beauty pageant. The twist: the guys dress as girls. Every year, males from on campus and fraternities enter the Miss TCNJ competition, competing in the following categories: question and answer round, talent round, and formal wear round. It's an exciting event where we've had contestants do everything from singing to dancing to gymnastics to beauty tips.
Last year, we started a new event titled Rockin' for Robbie. Groups of four form teams to play the popular video game, Rock Band. Teams can choose their song and difficulty level and are judged on everything from stage presentation, crowd enthusiasm, points earned in the game, and look. It is something new that we have tried and our first one held in spring 2009 was a success. We hope to do this again this upcoming school year.
Additionally, Zeta Psi participates in various community and school events to support other organizations' philanthropies as well as other causes. We always have a team that participates in Relay for Life, and we are always coming up with new ways to ensure that our team raises enough money to finish in the top two for the past three years. For example, most recently the sisters held a fundraiser at Applebees on Rt. 1 at which all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage were served. Sisters participated by being the hostesses and waitresses for the morning!
We also attend as many philanthropy events held by other Greek organizations as we can including Delta Zeta's Date Auction, Sigma Pi's Male Auction, Theta Phi Alpha's Fall Angel, and Kappa Delta's Shamrockin' Runway.
